Growth Plan ● Sensemaker Academy ● First half of 2027

Scale Sensemaker with predictable meeting and pipeline growth

You already reach the right accounts, with strong proof. This plan turns that attention into booked Sensemaker meetings by closing four gaps in order: the signal LinkedIn learns from, the quality of the traffic, the creative, and the pages that turn a click into a meeting.

Where You Stand

The right accounts and strong proof are in place. What leaks is everything between that attention and a booked Sensemaker meeting.

What's working: the pieces we build on.

You already do the hard parts. Your campaigns run on target account lists for law firms and in-house teams, with exclusions on every ad set. Your site is tagged for LinkedIn, and conversion events are already set up in Campaign Manager. The program is concrete and the proof is senior, and your content already brings in pipeline from AI search. We build on all of it instead of starting over.

LinkedInEvery live ad set runs on a target account list, split into law firms and in-house teams, with exclusions.Sets up: spend sized to a list that's already right, with The Reach Ratio™ and The Bouncer.
LinkedInOn LinkedIn itself, Sensemaker ads earn about twice the click rate they get on partner apps and sites.Sets up: a feed-first plan that pays for attention where your buyers read.
MeasurementThe LinkedIn Insight Tag loads on every page, and 7 conversions are attached to each live ad set.Sets up: The Foundation Plan, built on what's already in place.
Your adsThe hooks speak to a real job: "Your CEO: AI fluency, now. Your budget: Figure it out."Sets up: ICP + JTBD Specificity, with an offer added to every hook.
Your pageThe program is concrete, and the proof is senior: Legalweek's 2026 award, and quotes from leaders at Workday, Meta and Akin.Sets up: dedicated Sensemaker page(s) that move it into the first screens.
Your contentYour writing already brings in pipeline from AI search, by your count two or three deals right now.Sets up: SEO + AEO briefs that help each piece do more, written by your team.
SearchThe Sensemaker indexing issue looks fixed by your team: Google's live test on October 28 shows the page naming its own address again.Sets up: SEO + AEO from a clean start. The SEO + AEO tab has the detail.

LinkedIn: Campaign Manager, last 90 days (from July 31, 2026), and your live ad set settings. Your ads and Sensemaker page as of October 29, 2026. AI search: your words on our October 22 call. Search: Google Search Console, URL Inspection, checked October 28, 2026.

What's not working, group by group.

The leaks sit between the attention and the meeting. LinkedIn can't learn from meetings yet: 7 conversions are attached, none is recorded, and bidding learns from clicks. 86% of the Sensemaker budget ran on partner apps and sites, and 61 of 899 visits came from LinkedIn itself. The ads lead with strong hooks but no offer of their own. And the click lands on a page that asks visitors to watch a video, with every ask to talk on a second page. Each fix makes the next one pay more, which is why the plan runs them in this order. In search, Google already shows your site for legal AI training searches, mostly from page three; the SEO + AEO tab covers it.

Each group's findings run in order of what holds back booked Sensemaker meetings most. Last 90 days, Sensemaker only, unless labeled.

what bidding learns from today: landing page clicks

Campaign Manager: conversion setup on the live ad sets, and every placement row, last 90 days (from July 31, 2026).

Why it matters
  • The live ad sets optimize for landing page clicks, so LinkedIn finds the cheapest click, not the account most likely to meet.
  • The 7 conversions mix downloads, sign-ups, an assessment and three contact forms. None is specific to Sensemaker, so a Sensemaker inquiry and a download would count the same.
  • History: across the 13 months to October 26, no website conversion was recorded on any ad set. The fix starts from what's built, not from scratch.

286% of the Sensemaker budget ran on partner apps and sites, and 61 of 899 visits came from LinkedIn itself.

Campaign Manager, last 90 days (from July 31, 2026), Sensemaker campaign. Partner apps and sites is the LinkedIn Audience Network. A visit is a click to your site.

Why the budget went there
  • The Audience Network shows the same ads to members who match the same targeting, in other apps and sites. A visit there cost $9.65, against $20.99 on LinkedIn.
  • A goal of the most clicks for the money pulls spend there on its own.
  • On LinkedIn, the same ads earned a 0.38% click rate, against 0.17% on partner apps and sites.
  • Neither placement recorded a conversion, so cost per visit can't pick the winner yet. The signal comes first.

3On LinkedIn itself, your list saw a Sensemaker ad about once for every two people in three months.

Campaign Manager, last 90 days: 16,211 Sensemaker impressions on LinkedIn itself. List size about 36,000 people, from LinkedIn-reported reach and audience penetration on the live ad sets (92 days to October 26, 2026), approximate.

What the list saw instead
  • On partner apps and sites, the same ad sets ran about 14 impressions per person.
  • This is about where the ads ran, not who they reached: the Audience Network serves members who match the same targeting.
  • The Paid Media + Creative tab shows what reaching your list 10 to 15 times on LinkedIn itself costs.

Campaign Manager campaign report, last 90 days (from July 31, 2026). Targeting from the live ad sets' settings.

What it means for Sensemaker
  • Both campaigns use the same target lists, job titles, locations and exclusions in each segment.
  • On LinkedIn itself, your Brand campaign got about $8 for every $1 behind Sensemaker.
  • For the first half of 2027, the plan puts the LinkedIn feed behind Sensemaker, your stated goal: one message per person at a time. Your Brand campaign keeps a home in the broader program we'd plan next.

Two of your three best-funded Sensemaker ads, as Campaign Manager previews them, cropped to the creative, October 29, 2026. The third, on AI tool risk, carries the same headline and button. Headline count from the live ad export as of October 26, 2026.

Why it matters
  • The same headline runs on 20 of 22 live Sensemaker ads. It describes the program; it doesn't offer a next step.
  • For a general counsel seeing the ad cold, "Get in touch" means a sales conversation, with no smaller step in between, like the program guide or a short call.
  • Your live ads insert the viewer's company name. That personalization is a nice touch, but it's the smallest lever. What earns a qualified click is the offer, the job the program does for the buyer and the benefit.

2The best-funded ads got about 1,100 LinkedIn impressions each in three months, too few to learn from.

What it means
  • The other 13 ads in that ad set averaged about 534 LinkedIn impressions each.
  • On LinkedIn, click rates ran 0.34% to 0.57% by ad, on 4 to 6 clicks each. That's too few to call a winner.
  • With 93% of visits coming from partner apps and sites, the rotation picks its best ads on taps outside LinkedIn.
  • Each ad set mixes four themes (pain points, education, objections and social proof), so no theme gets a clean read.

3Every live Sensemaker ad is the same format: a single image.

  • Surround Sound Creative builds each message as static and GIF ads in every size LinkedIn runs, so the same budget reaches further.
  • Your benchmark report and the Sensemaker program guide are ready-made document ads.

Why it matters
  • A visitor who decides to ask has to leave the page that convinced them and wait on a second page load.
  • The form asks them to explain themselves from scratch, including a typed "How did you hear about us?"
  • Your turnaion.com/ai page already runs the shape we'd build: the offer named on the first screen, and the form opening on the same page.

5,000+ lawyers

Your live ads as Campaign Manager previews them, and the Sensemaker page's source and rendered text, October 29, 2026.

One set of facts
  • A careful legal reader has to reconcile the numbers before they get to the ask.
  • You confirm which figures are current, and every ad and page carries the same ones.
  • The page doesn't carry the ads' hooks either, like the CEO and budget line, or a plain answer that it works in any legal AI tool.

SEO + AEO

What a first read of factor.law turned up for Sensemaker, the work we would do across the whole site with Sensemaker first, and what that work commits to.

Sensemaker in Google: it looks like your team caught it.

An indexing issue that appears fixed

When Google last crawled the Sensemaker page on October 16, the page named a Google Ads tracking address as its real one, and Google indexed that version in place of the page. Our live test on October 28 shows the page naming its own address again, so it looks like someone on your team has already made the fix.

Google still lists the tracking address until it recrawls the page, so we will confirm in Search Console that Google indexes the page under its own address, and check your other campaign pages for the same pattern.

Source: Google Search Console for factor.law, URL Inspection (Google index and live test), checked October 28, 2026.

People who know Sensemaker find it. People searching for what Sensemaker teaches see your site on page three, where almost nobody clicks, so these impressions understate the demand. Third-party estimates put the core training searches at a few hundred a month in the US: small and specific, and worth answering well.

Most of what gets a site cited in AI answers is good SEO: pages search engines can crawl and index, content that answers the question directly, and structured data that says who you are. So we run SEO and AEO as one body of work, with one team and one set of hours.

Indexing and crawlA full crawl connected to Search Console: which pages Google indexes, which it skips, and why. Includes your sitemap and every page that gets ad or email traffic.

4We check the result

Every statistic says what was measured, when and by whom. Every section names its subject. We flag filler and hedging, then run Google’s language analysis to confirm search engines read the page as being about what you meant.

Researchers at Princeton tested what raises a page’s visibility in AI-generated answers (GEO study, KDD 2024). Expert quotes, statistics with context and cited sources came out on top. A skeptical in-house lawyer looks for the same three things, so one brief serves both readers.

One plan for six months. Your team stays the writer.

Paid Media + Creative

LinkedIn rebuilt around Sensemaker meetings, with new creative every month from the team that runs the ads.

The plan in one minute.

Fix what LinkedIn learns from, move the Sensemaker budget into the feed, give every ad its own offer, and send each click to a page built to book a meeting. Four moves, in this order:

1

Give LinkedIn the right signal.

One Sensemaker conversion as the goal, and opportunities from your CRM fed back, so bidding learns from meetings, not clicks.

The Foundation Plan
2

Put the Sensemaker budget in the LinkedIn feed.

The feed first, sized to reach your list 10 to 15 times, with The Bouncer for accounts that warm up. LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, the form inside the ad, run as a small test in a campaign of their own.

The Reach Ratio™The Bouncer
3

Give every ad a job and an offer.

Ads built on each buyer's job to be done, each with its own next step, tested before they scale, in every format.

ICP + JTBD SpecificityThe Three-Lane StructureSurround Sound Creative™
4

Hand the click to pages built to book a meeting.

Every ad points to the page that matches its offer. The CRO plan adds dedicated Sensemaker page(s).

"I definitely need you to help on paid social and paid advertising. I don't have that in-house."Ashley Neuman, VP, Marketing, 10/22

How each move works.

1

Give LinkedIn the right signal.

Today
7 conversions are attached to every live ad set, none was recorded in the last 90 days, and bidding learns from landing page clicks.
What we do
The Foundation Plan sets one Sensemaker conversion, with its own confirmation step, as the primary goal and keeps the other six as secondary. Offline conversion tracking sends opportunities and meetings held from your CRM back to LinkedIn.
What changes in the account
We confirm every form submit reaches the page each LinkedIn conversion counts, so the numbers are right. Then bidding moves from clicks to the Sensemaker conversion.
How you'll see it
Recorded Sensemaker conversions, meetings and opportunities by campaign, on every reporting call.
More on this move
  • Offline conversion tracking is a one-time build, on the Investment tab.
  • Cost per opportunity keeps coming from your CRM, the number the business runs on.
2

Put the Sensemaker budget in the LinkedIn feed.

Today
86% of Sensemaker spend ran on partner apps and sites, and your list saw about 0.45 Sensemaker impressions per person on LinkedIn itself.
What we do
The Reach Ratio™ sizes the feed budget to reach your list 10 to 15 times. The Bouncer keeps reach broad and inexpensive across the list, then spends the executive-level premium only inside accounts that engage. The Lead Gen Form test runs on its own budget.
What changes in the account
The Audience Network comes off the Sensemaker account-list ad sets, the feed carries the budget, and site visitors get their own retargeting with a meeting offer.
How you'll see it
Impressions per person on LinkedIn itself, engaged accounts on your list, and visits from the feed.
More on this move
  • A feed visit costs more today, $20.99 against $9.65 on partner apps and sites. That's why the signal comes first: it shows which visits turn into meetings.
  • For the first half of 2027, the feed goes behind Sensemaker, your stated goal. Your Brand campaign keeps a home in the broader program we'd plan next.
3

Give every ad a job and an offer.

Today
Different hooks share one headline and one "Learn more," and the best-funded ads got about 1,100 LinkedIn impressions each in three months.
What we do
ICP + JTBD Specificity builds each ad on one buyer's job: the general counsel under a CEO mandate, the legal ops lead turning access into use, the law firm innovation leader. PPC Temperature CTA Matching gives each one an ask that fits how warm the viewer is. The Three-Lane Structure tests a few ads at a time, one theme each, with dated gates. Surround Sound Creative™ builds every ad in each format and size LinkedIn runs.
What changes in the account
Each ad carries an offer that matches the page: a call for engaged accounts, the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide for colder ones, and winners get enough budget to prove it.
How you'll see it
Click rate from the feed, offer by offer, and meetings by message.
More on this move
  • The Creative Quilt runs each month as a test: hypothesis, build, read, next round.
  • We'll confirm the current proof points with you, like lawyers trained and the workshop count, so every ad and page says the same thing.
4

Hand the click to pages built to book a meeting.

Today
The first phone screen asks visitors to watch a video, and every "Get in touch" leads to a general contact form that never mentions Sensemaker.
What we do
On-Site CRO Testing builds dedicated Sensemaker page(s) around booking a meeting, with the offer first and the form on the page. Breadcrumb Technique™ opens the form with a step that asks nothing personal.
What changes in the account
On both plans, every ad points to the page that matches its offer. With the CRO plan, the Sensemaker page(s) go live and testing starts.
How you'll see it
Offer taps, form starts and requests per visit, by device, then meetings booked.
More on this move
  • The CRO tab has the path today, a concept of the dedicated page and the first three tests.
  • Thank You Page Next Steps books the call on the confirmation screen, which also becomes the Sensemaker conversion LinkedIn learns from.

CRO

The multiplier. Once the traffic is right, the page decides how many qualified visits become booked meetings.

The path today: two page loads and about 10 taps between the ad and a submitted request.

The Sensemaker Academy page on a phone, first screen
1. The ad click lands hereOne button, "See for yourself," which scrolls to a video.
The contact page on a phone, first screen
2. "Get in touch" leads hereA general contact page. Sensemaker isn't mentioned.
1The adA hook and proof, then "Learn more."
2Sensemaker pageThe first screen asks visitors to watch. The first "Get in touch" sits 1.85 screens down.
3Contact pageA second page load, with no mention of Sensemaker.
4The form10 inputs, 7 required, 6 typed answers, and no Sensemaker option.

Your Sensemaker and contact pages at phone width, October 29, 2026. 89% of Sensemaker ad visits came from mobile devices (Campaign Manager, last 90 days).

Your turnaion.com/ai page already runs the shape we'd build: the offer named on the first screen, a button that says what you get, and the form opening on the same page.

The fix: dedicated Sensemaker page(s) built around booking a meeting.

Offer firstThe first screen says what the buyer gets: an AI maturity assessment call for their team, with the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide as the lighter step and proof beside it.
The answers moved upWhat Sensemaker is, how it runs and who vouches for it, in the first few screens. The video becomes supporting proof.

The call booked on the spotThe confirmation screen offers a time for the call, and becomes the Sensemaker conversion LinkedIn learns from.Thank You Page Next Steps
Fast on every deviceBuilt to work as well on a phone as on a desktop, and served from cache so the page draws quickly.
One set of factsThe same numbers in every ad and on the page, confirmed with you.

We build the page(s) around one primary action, booking a call, with the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide as the lighter step for colder visitors. Then we A/B test the page and the ask. A further new page is recommended only when testing shows it's needed.

What a dedicated Sensemaker page could look like: the outcome first, and the form beside it.

Tap an answer in the form to see step two. It's a concept, so nothing is collected or sent.

ConceptA dedicated Sensemaker page for LinkedIn ad traffic. One offer, the form on the page, and no detour to a general contact form.

Concept mockups. Final pages, ads and copy go through your brand review.

1Outcome first, matched to the adThe headline says what the team becomes, in your ads' own words. Today the first screen leads with the program name and a button to a video.
2One offer-led askOne offer, your team's AI maturity assessment, built on the assessment you already offer, with the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide as a quiet second step. An offer with a deliverable beats a generic call: the buyer knows what they walk away with. Today 0 of 8 buttons on the page say what you get.
3A two-step form on the pageOne easy tap first, then four short fields, without leaving the page. Small yeses first make the next step easier. Today the ask sits on a second page, behind 7 required fields.Breadcrumb Technique™
4Proof at the decision pointThe award and named legal teams sit beside the form. Today the named-leader quotes sit 10.4 screens down on a phone.

Concept only, in your brand. Offers and copy to confirm with your team.

The first three tests, in order.

1The new page against today's

Sensemaker ad traffic split between today's page and the dedicated page. Read on offer taps, form starts and requests per visit, then meetings booked.

2Which offer leads

The call against the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide as the main ask. The winner is whichever books more meetings, not more form fills.

3The ad's hook on the first screen

A first screen matched to each ad's theme, against one general first screen for every ad.

On-Site CRO Testing CRO Leading Indicators Each test reads early signals first, like offer taps and form starts, because opportunities take months to show in your CRM. Page insights sit inside every test. With about 10 Sensemaker visits a day today, each test runs to a set minimum before we call it.

Quick wins we recommend, on either plan.

  • An offer-led button on the first screen of today's page, next to "See for yourself," like "Get the Sensemaker Academy Program Guide."
  • Sensemaker Academy added to the contact form's "I am interested in" options, so Sensemaker requests stand out from day one.
  • One set of numbers across the ads and the page, once you confirm the current figures.
  • UTM tags on the Sensemaker ads, so the form's hidden source fields have something to capture.
  • The program guide moved up, next to the first ask.
  • Visible labels and autofill on the contact form, with each consent sentence ticking its box.

Traffic quality first. CRO multiplies it.

Paid Media + Creative

Who arrives

The feed, the right accounts, and ads that earn qualified clicks from general counsel, legal ops leads and law firm innovation leaders.

CRO

What they find

A page that answers a general counsel's questions in the first few screens and offers one clear next step on the spot.

Each request that comes through becomes the conversion signal the campaigns need to find more buyers like it. The page work and the traffic work feed each other.

Investment

Two ways to run paid media for Sensemaker, plus SEO + AEO as its own piece. One team makes the ads and runs the campaigns.

Three pieces. We recommend starting with Paid Media + Creative.

Recommended to start

Paid Media + Creative

We run LinkedIn for Sensemaker and build new ads every month, as one team.

  • Performance Creative, Tier 1 (below)

  • Reporting dashboard and Growth Grid reviews
